Many of us were quietly taught that strong faith means feeling less. So we learned to skip the naming and go straight to the resolution.
But Scripture is full of lament. A third of the Psalms give language to grief, anger, confusion, and waiting. God does not ask us to arrive composed.
Healing begins with honesty: this is what happened, this is what it cost me, this is what I still carry. Only then can comfort land somewhere real.
If you are in a heavy season, do not rush yourself. Give the grief its language, bring it into prayer, and let trusted people walk with you.
